Mike Spearing joined the Office of Counsel in 1988, in its UAH office. He transferred to UA Office of Counsel in 2004 and was promoted to University Counsel in 2013. Mike provides legal advice and representation, emphasizing a broad array of matters related to UA Athletics, Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer, Financial Affairs, Construction Contracts, Sponsored Research and Governance issues. He is a 2005 graduate of Leadership Tuscaloosa.
