Everyone has problems some time. Juggling the demands of work, family, and other obligations can be stressful. Your Employee Assistance Program (EAP) gives you an option for coping more effectively with your particular life stressors.
WHY EAP
Your employer is providing you and your dependents the services of an employee assistance program to help you deal with problems affecting you, your family, or your job performance. Short-term counseling services are available to assist with problems including:
- Marital and Relational
- Parent-child
- Behavior Problem of Child
- Substance Abuse
- Emotional and Stress
- Job-related
- Financial
- Extended Family
BENEFITS OF EAP
The Employee Assistance Program offers you free assessment, short-term counseling, and referral services. The number of sessions is dependent upon the contract with your company with a minimum of five sessions per year. Referrals are made in consultation with you if additional mental health services are needed. The benefits of your insurance plan will be explored with you in selecting a provider.
CONFIDENTIAL SERVICES
Information regarding you and your counseling sessions is not a part of your personnel file. Only statistical data is reported back to your company that will provide a composite of the employees served. Your right to privacy is protected within the state and federal guidelines.
PROFESSIONAL STAFF
The services are provided by licensed, professional staff with a minimum of a master’s degree that has given them specialized training to work with individuals and families. Members of the staff have additional training to enhance their expertise in working with particular problems.

The main office is located at 201 Towncenter Blvd., (just off McFarland Blvd., N.) in Tuscaloosa, AL. Hours of operation are Monday –Thursday from 8:30 AM until 7:00 PM and Fridays from 8:30 AM until 5:00 PM, Central Standard Time. Telephone: 759-7890 or 1-866-840-0750.
