The University of Alabama, located in Tuscaloosa, The University of Alabama at Birmingham and The University of Alabama in Huntsville are strategically situated in some of the region’s fastest-growing cities, serving our state and nation in wide-ranging areas from commerce and business to law, medicine, physical science, engineering and the arts.
With 63,300 students and an annual budget of $4.6 billion, we are proud that the UA System annually makes an economic impact upwards of $7.6 billion. Earning a healthy return for the taxpayers who invest their hard-earned dollars in our institutions, the System is a powerful engine for industrial recruitment, job creation and breakthrough scientific research.
